2. DO hem trousers to go with the heel you have chosen. Half an inch from the floor is the shortest you should hem your trousers, to get the maximum elongating effect of the combination. The effect of shorter lengths is to make the trouser leg a sort of bell that chimes against your leg.
3. DO pair Victorian boots (those with a low heels, a tapered toe, and laces) with cropped trousers, provided the trouser leg covers the top of the boot. DON'T allow a gap between your cropped trousers and your boots, it will look as if you have outgrown them.
