Let´s remember first the ideal for Body type Cs:

To soften the shoulder line, balancing it with their lower body.
Also, to create definition at the waist, elongating their torso.

Trousers can help to achieve this idea by...

1. To create the illusion of curviness, choose a contoured, medium width belt, or a cut with a yoke in the back, no pockets or small pockets.
2. Avoid high-waisted styles, especially if you are short-waisted or have a full middle, because they will shorten your upper body considerably.
3. Avoid extremely low-waisted styles that will create a straight line across your hips and bottom, especially if your bottom is flat-tish or your legs not very long. It will also make your middle protrude even if it is ever so small.
