The Leather Edit SS2013 Part 2

SS2013 collections keep coming out, and I'm keeping an eye on them for you. Here there are more investment-worthy leather items, most of them under 200£, and a just a few over.

The Leather Edit SS2013 Part 2 by Caroline Grant. If you click on a specific item, Polyvore will lead you to the right website.

Types of leather
  • Goat skin is very soft and flexible, so it is usually reserved for gloves.
  • Lambskin is very supple and soft, but also delicate.
  • Cow: the most common one and more resistant than the previous two.
  • Pig is very smelly and usually presents small dimples. It is sturdy, but more difficult to keep clean than cow, as it resembles suede.
Good brands will specify the type of leather, especially if it is good (that is, if they are not... maybe they are hiding something).

Characteristics
  • Suppleness.
  • Low-shine.
  • Lining in a natural material if you can afford it.
